NASHVILLE – The Titans on Thursday activated defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons from the team's Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Simmons rejoins the 53-man roster and is eligible to play.
Also on Thursday, the Titans moved running back Darrynton Evans to Injured Reserve (Short Term), which means he'll miss at least three weeks. Evans left Tuesday's game vs the Bills with a hamstring injury.
The Titans have also moved safety Dane Cruikshank to the 'Designated for Return' list. This designation will open up a three-week window for Cruikshank to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from injured reserve.
Receiver Corey Davis, tight end MyCole Pruitt, and fullback Khari Blasingame from the 53-man roster currently remain on the team's Reserve/COVID-19 list, along with tight end Tommy Hudson and defensive back Breon Borders from the team's practice squad.
The Reserve/COVID-19 list was created for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons. Clubs may not disclose whether the player is in quarantine or is positive for COVID-19. Under the rules for Reserve/COVID-19, teams are required to address the player's roster status once that player has fulfilled the protocol for their circumstance.
Earlier, the Titans activated receiver Adam Humphries, defensive lineman DaQuan Jones, long snapper Beau Brinkley, cornerback Kristian Fulton, tackle Isaiah Wilson to the 53-man roster, along with receiver Cam Batson and cornerback Greg Mabin from the team's Reserve/COVID-19 list.
The Titans face the Houston Texans on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
