NASHVILLE – The Titans have signed defensive lineman Mario Edwards off Jacksonville's practice squad and on to the team's 53-man roster.
Also on Monday, the Titans waived outside linebacker Derrek Tuszka off the team's active roster.
Edwards, 28, was a second-round pick of the Raiders in 2015, and he spent the last two seasons with the Chicago Bears before being signed to the Jaguars practice squad earlier this month.
In seven NFL seasons with the Bears, Saints, Giants and Raiders, Edwards has played in 86 games, with 25 starts. He's recorded 118 tackles, 16.5 career sacks, 35 quarterback hits, 19 tackles for a loss and five forced fumbles.
Edwards (6-3, 280) played in 12 games for the Bears in 2021, when he tallied eight tackles and two sacks.
Edwards was selected 35th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Florida State.
The Titans claimed Tuszka off waivers from the Steelers earlier this month and he started the team's game on Sunday vs the Raiders, when he recorded two tackles.
The Titans return to action on Sunday in Indianapolis vs the Colts.
