NASHVILLE – The Titans on Thursday promoted tight end Kevin Rader from the practice squad to the team's 53-man roster.
Also today, the team placed offensive lineman Jamarco Jones on Injured Reserve.
Additionally, the Titans have signed outside linebacker Wyatt Ray to the team's practice squad.
Rader (6-4, 250), signed to the practice squad earlier this month, played seven games for Pittsburgh over the past two seasons, totaling two receptions for eight yards and three special teams tackles. He entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Green Bay in 2018 and spent the majority of 2019 and 2020 on the Steelers practice squad. As a college player, Rader played 42 games for Youngstown State and caught 44 passes for 601 yards and four touchdowns.
Ray returns to the Titans after spending time with the team during the 2020 season.
Ray played in 15 games, with one start, for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2021. Ray recorded 17 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble for the Bengals a year ago. He played in four games for the Titans in 2020, when he tallied two tackles and a sack. Ray was with the Jaguars during the offseason, but he was released in August.
All players placed on Injured Reserve during the regular season are eligible to return. The number allowed to return to the active roster is capped at eight this season.
Jones joins running back Trenton Cannon, defensive back Chris Jackson, defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand, defensive back A.J. Moore, defensive back Elijah Molden, linebacker Chance Campbell, receiver Racey McMath, and tight end Tommy Hudson on Injured Reserve, along with outside linebacker Harold Landry.
The Titans face the Raiders on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
