NASHVILLE – The Titans on Tuesday placed two players on Injured Reserve:
-Defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand.
-Defensive back A.J. Moore Jr.
Both players were injured in Sunday's season opener against the Giants.
Hand played just two snaps on defense on Sunday while Moore played five special teams snaps.
Hand and Moore join defensive back Elijah Molden, linebacker Chance Campbell, receiver Racey McMath, and tight end Tommy Hudson on Injured Reserve, along with outside linebacker Harold Landry.
All players placed on injured reserve during the regular season are eligible to return, although some of these players aren't expected to be available the rest of the season, and that group includes Landry.
The number allowed to return to the active roster is capped at eight this season.
Also on Tuesday, the Titans signed defensive back Nate Brooks to the team's practice squad.
Brooks (6-0, 192) originally signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He spent the majority of his rookie campaign on the New England Patriots' practice squad before being signed by the Miami Dolphins to their active in December 2019. Brooks saw action in three games with two starts at cornerback as a Dolphin and registered 11 tackles and two passes defensed. The University of North Texas product joined the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad in 2020 and was elevated to the active roster for one contest. He spent time during the 2021 training camp with the Titans and on the practice squad for a stint during the season.
The Titans return to action on Monday night against the Buffalo Bills.
