TEAM NOTES
· The win at Oakland gave the Titans a four-game winning streak and six victories in a seven-game span. The four-game winning streak matches (2017, 2018) the team's longest winning streak since 2010.
· The victory guaranteed the Titans their fourth consecutive season with at least eight wins under general manager Jon Robinson. The Titans went 9-7 every season from 2016-18.
· The Titans scored 42 total points for the second time in a three-game span (Nov. 24 vs. Jacksonville). The Titans also scored 43 points in the season opener at Cleveland (Sept. 8). It is the third season in franchise history and the first time since 1962 (three games) that the team scored at least 42 points three or more times in a season. Besides 2019 and 1962, the only other time it happened was 1961, when the Oilers had six such games.
· The Titans reached 30 points for the fourth consecutive game, accomplishing the feat for the first time since 2003, when they had a six-game streak with 30 or more points.
· The Titans scored six touchdowns in a game for the second time in 2019 (Nov. 24 vs. Jacksonville). The six touchdowns tied for the most by the team in a game since the beginning of the 1999 season.
· The Titans were penalized four times for only 21 yards, the club's lowest penalty yardage total since a 10-penalty-yard game (two penalties) against the Washington Redskins on Dec. 22, 2018.
TEAM NOTES – OFFENSE
· The Titans offense totaled 552 net yards in the game, the most by the team since Nov. 10, 1991 (583 vs. the Dallas Cowboys) and the sixth-highest single-game figure in franchise history. The 552 yards amounted to the fifth-best total by any NFL team in 2019.
· The Titans averaged 9.36 yards per play at Oakland (552 yards on 59 plays). It is the highest single-game average in franchise history and the best of any NFL team in 2019. The Titans now own the top two performances in the NFL this season. Their 9.06 yards per play against the Jaguars on Nov. 24 ranks second and is now the second-highest number in franchise annals.
· The Titans had a 300-yard passer (Ryan Tannehill), 100-yard receiver (A.J. Brown) and 100-yard rusher (Derrick Henry). It was the seventh time in franchise history the team accomplished the feat. The last time it happened was against the Arizona Cardinals on Nov. 29, 2009, when Vince Young (387 passing), Chris Johnson (154 rushing) and Kenny Britt (128 receiving) combined for the achievement.
· The Titans recorded the first game in franchise history in which the offense totaled more than 350 net passing yards, totaled more than 150 rushing yards, and did not allow a sack.
· The Titans' 391 net passing yards were the most by the team in a game since a 394-yard net passing outing against the Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 15, 2013.
· The Titans offensive line did not allow a sack for the second time in 2019 (Sept. 29 at Atlanta).
· In the "Titans era" (1999-present), the Titans' 391 passing yards against the Raiders were the most by the team in a game in which the offense also did not surrender a sack.
· The Titans rushed for 161 total yards, marking their fourth consecutive game with at least 150 rushing yards. That ties for the third-longest streak of its kind in franchise history and the longest since 2009, when the Titans had a franchise-record six consecutive games with at least 150 rushing yards.
· The offense's 26 first downs were the most by the team since it had 27 first downs against the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 12, 2017.
· The Titans converted eight of 11 attempts on third down. Their rate of 72.7 percent on third down was the third-best for the franchise since 1991 and the team's highest percentage since Nov. 5, 2018 at the Dallas Cowboys (78.6 percent). The only other game since 1991 in which the club had a higher percentage was Nov. 26, 1995 against the Denver Broncos (81.8 percent).
· The offense's 352 total net yards in the first half were the most by the club in the first half of a game since it had 354 yards in the first two quarters against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 27, 2016.
· The team's 21 total points in the first half was its second-highest total of the season behind the 24 points scored at Atlanta on Sept. 29.
· The Titans scored touchdowns on three of their four opportunities in the red zone. That brought their season totals to 27 touchdowns in 37 trips inside the 20 for a league-best 73.0 percent in the red zone.
· For the second time in three games (Nov. 24 vs. Jacksonville), the Titans had eight total plays of at least 20 yards. That tied for the most by the club in a game in the last four seasons (2016-2019).
· Ten different Titans players caught at least one pass in the game.
TEAM NOTES – DEFENSE
· The Titans did not allow the Raiders to score in the second half. It marked their first second-half shutout since Dec. 16, 2018 at the New York Giants.
· With Jayon Brown's fumble return for a touchdown, the Titans scored a touchdown on defense for the third time in 2019. It is the unit's highest total for a season since scoring three touchdowns in 2013. In addition to Brown's touchdown, they reached the end zone on an interception Sept. 8 at Cleveland (Malcolm Brown) and on a fumble return against Kansas City on Nov. 10 (Rashaan Evans).
· The Titans have scored a defensive touchdown or a special teams touchdown in three of their last four contests.
ILB JAYON BROWN
· Recovered a fumble by tight end Darren Waller and returned the ball 46 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. It was his second career touchdown (interception return vs. Indianapolis, Dec. 30, 2018) and his third career fumble recovery (first of 2019).
FB KHARI BLASINGAME
· Totaled 47 receiving yards on a pair of receptions.
· Notched his first NFL reception in the first quarter, catching a 24-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill. He added a 23-yard receptionin the third quarter.
CB TRAMAINE BROCK
· Recorded a start in his first appearance in a Titans uniform, less than a week after joining the team. Brock was acquired off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 3.
WR A.J. BROWN
· Totaled five receptions for a career-high 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns (tied career high). His 153 receiving yards were the most by a Titans player since Corey Davis' 161 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 30, 2018.
· Since 1970, Brown's 153 receiving yards were the third-most in a game by a franchise rookie. The only Titans/Oilers rookie with more since 1970 was Ernest Givins, who had a 156-yard receiving game (Nov. 16, 1986 at Pittsburgh) and a 155-yard receiving game (Oct. 5, 1986 at Detroit) as a rookie in 1986.
· Recorded touchdown receptions of 91 yards and 16 yards in the second quarter.
· His 91-yard touchdown reception was the fourth-longest touchdown catch in franchise history and the longest since 1965. The only longer touchdown passes in team annals were a 98-yard strike from Jacky Lee to Willard Dewveall against the San Diego Chargers on Nov. 25, 1962; a 95-yard touchdown pass from George Blanda to Dick Compton against the Buffalo Bills on Dec. 5, 1965; and a 92-yarder from Lee to Bill Groman on Nov. 20, 1960.
· Became the first rookie in the "Titans era" (1999–present) to have three 100-yard receiving games. The franchise's last rookie to accomplish the feat prior to Brown was Ernest Givins (four 100-yard games) in 1986.
· Became the first rookie in the "Titans era" (1999–present) with at least five touchdown receptions—he has six. The franchise's last rookie to accomplish the feat was Chris Sanders (nine) in 1995.
· Totaled four receptions for 141 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. It was the highest receiving yardage total for the Titans in the first half of a game since Drew Bennett's 192 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs on Dec. 13, 2004.
· Through the afternoon games of Dec. 8, leads all NFL rookies in 2019 with 779 receiving yards and is tied for the rookie lead with six touchdown receptions.
OLB KAMALEI CORREA
· Registered a sack in the second quarter, forcing Derek Carr out of bounds for no gain. The play gave him three sacks in 2019 (6.5 career sacks).
TE ANTHONY FIRKSER
· Posted a 39-yard reception in the second quarter to record a new career long (28 yards on Nov. 18, 2018 at Indianapolis).
RB DERRICK HENRY
· Totaled 103 yards and two touchdowns on 18 rushing attempts.
· Improved his season totals to 1,243 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 250 rushing attempts (5.0 avg.). He has set career highs in all three categories. He also has 18 receptions for 206 yards and two touchdowns.
· Scored a pair of touchdowns—first on a 12-yard run in the first quarter and then on a 10-yard run in the third quarter. It marked his seventh career game with at least two rushing touchdowns and his third game of the season with two rushing touchdowns—all three coming within the last four contests.
· Passed Steve McNair (3,439 career rushing yards) for sixth place on the team's all-time rushing list and later passed Hoyle Granger (3,514) for fifth place on the team's all-time rushing list. Henry now has 3,536 career rushing yards.
· Became the second player in franchise history to record consecutive seasons with 12 or more rushing touchdowns, joining Earl Campbell (1978–1980).
· On a four-yard run in the third quarter, he moved past 1,200 yards on the season. He joined Chris Johnson (2009), Earl Campbell (1978–1980, 1983) and Eddie George (2000) as the only players in franchise history with 1,200 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns in a season.
· Went over 100 rushing yards on a 24-yard carry in the third quarter. He notched his fourth consecutive 100-yard rushing game, his fifth 100-yard rushing game of 2019 and his 10th career 100-yard rushing game, including playoffs. He is the first Titans player with four consecutive 100-yard rushing games since Chris Johnson (12) from 2009-10.
· In passing 750 career rushing attempts, he reached the minimum number of carries to qualify for franchise and NFL career rushing average records. With his current career rushing average of 4.71 yards per carry (3,536 yards on 751 attempts), he took over first place in franchise history (Chris Johnson, 4.57) and first place among all active NFL running backs (Adrian Peterson, 4.69).
· Tied for fifth in franchise history with 13 rushing touchdowns in a single season.
· Tied for fifth in franchise history with 15 scrimmage touchdowns in a single season.
TE MYCOLE PRUITT
· Recorded a career-long 42-yard reception in the third quarter, leading to a Titans touchdown. His previous career long was 32 yards (Dec. 10, 2015 at Arizona).
DL JEFFERY SIMMONS
· Recorded his second career sack, dropping Derek Carr for a four-yard loss in the third quarter.
TE JONNU SMITH
· Totaled three receptions for 29 yards and one touchdown.
· Recorded a 17-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter. It gave him two touchdowns in 2019 and seven touchdown catches in his career.
CB TYE SMITH
· Forced a fumble that directly to a Titans touchdown when he knocked the ball out of the hands of tight end Darren Waller in the fourth quarter. The ball was picked up by linebacker Jayon Brown and returned 46 yards for a touchdown. It was the second consecutive game for Smith with a forced fumble that was recovered by the Titans.
QB RYAN TANNEHILL
· Won for the sixth time in seven games as a starter for the Titans in 2019.
· Completed 21 of 27 passes for 391 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. His passer rating of 140.4 was the second-best single-game mark of his career in a contest in which he attempted at least 20 passes. He added 19 yards on four rushing attempts against the Raiders.
· With a 77.8 percent completion percentage and a 140.4 passer rating, he joined Aaron Rodgers (three games in 2011) as the only players in NFL history to complete at least 75 percent of their passes with a passer rating of 130 or higher (min. 10 attempts) in three consecutive games in a single season.
· Joined Russell Wilson (five games in 2015) as the only players with four consecutive games with at least two passing touchdowns and a passer rating of 125 or higher in NFL history.
· His three touchdown passes included strikes to wide receiver A.J. Brown of 91 yards and 16 yards in the second quarter and a 17-yarder to tight end Jonnu Smith in the fourth quarter.
· His 91-yard touchdown pass was the longest pass of his career. The longest previous pass of his career was an 80-yard touchdown at Arizona on Sept. 30, 2012 as a member of the Miami Dolphins.
· His 91-yard touchdown pass was the fourth-longest touchdown pass in franchise history and the longest since 1965.
