Otis Reese

PRO: The Titans signed Otis Reese IV as a rookie free agent after the 2023 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-3-inch, 214-pounder made the 53-man roster out of training camp and brings a versatile skill set as a defender and also adds value on special teams. As a rookie, he appeared in seven games with three starts at linebacker and registered 16 tackles while also contributing five special teams stops. The Leesburg, Ga., native played in 25 games with one start over two seasons at Georgia before transferring to Mississippi where he recorded 198 tackles, 10 stops for loss, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, eight passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 29 games over three seasons.

TITANS TIDBITS:
• Played safety during his college career, but made the transition to linebacker once he arrived with the Titans.
• When asked what he would be if not an NFL player, Reese said he never considered a plan B. "If I didn't make it, I was going to keep trying until I did."

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Leesburg, Ga., native was signed by the Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023.
• Waived by the Titans on Sept. 22, 2023 and signed to the team's practice squad four days later.
• Signed by the Titans to their active roster from the practice squad on Dec. 6, 2023.

COLLEGE:
• Played in 29 games with 27 starts over three seasons at Mississippi and recorded 198 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, eight passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Transferred to Mississippi from Georgia following the 2019 season. Saw action in 25 games with one start over two seasons at Georgia and recorded 16 tackles.
• As a graduate (2022), started all 11 games and finished second on the team with 84 total tackles, with eight coming for a loss. Added three sacks, one interception, one fumble recovery and four passes defensed.
• As a senior (2021), started in all 13 games in the secondary. Recorded 90 tackles, two tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and one forced fumble. Helped Ole Miss defense hold eight opponents to 21 points or less.
• As a junior (2020), was ineligible to play due to transfer rules until the final three games of the season. Started at the star position in all three games he was eligible and finished with 24 tackles, an interception and two passes defensed. Transferred to Mississippi from Georgia following the 2019 season.
• As a sophomore (2019), appeared in 14 games for the Bulldogs and recorded three tackles.
• As a freshman (2018), played in 11 games with one start and recorded 13 tackles at Georgia.
• Graduated with a degree in multi-disciplinary studies from Mississippi in May 2023.

PERSONAL:
• Was a consensus 4-star prospect coming out of Lee County (Ga.) High School and was ranked as the No. 5 outside linebacker nationally, No. 87 overall prospect nationally and the No. 12 prospect in Georgia by 247Sports.
• Helped lead Lee County to a 14-1 season and the GHSA Class 6A Title as a senior in 2017. Named to the USA Today 2017 All-USA Georgia first team defense.
• Honored as the 2017 Class 6A Defensive Player of the Year by both the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Georgia Sports Writers Association, in addition to being named a member of the 2017 All-State Class 6A first team defense by both the AJC and GSWA.
• Played a wide range of defensive positions in high school.
• Named an all-state first team defensive back by both the AP and AJC in 2016. Recorded 65 tackles, 10 stops for loss, as well as five sacks and three interceptions as a junior.
