Biography

PRO: The Titans selected Jaylen Harrell in the seventh round (252nd overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-4-inch, 247-pounder brings versatility in both run and pass defense to the linebacker core. A four-year letterman at Michigan, Harrell appeared in 46 games with 31 starts off the edge for the Wolverines. He compiled 78 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, eight sacks, two forced fumbles and three pass breakups in a career that ended in three straight Big Ten Championships (2021-23) and a College Football Playoff National Title (2023).

• During his time in Ann Arbor, Harrell was Academic All-Big Ten three times (2021-23) and was selected All-Big Ten honorable mention two times (2022-23).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2021), played in all 14 games and made three starts at linebacker. Amassed 15 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss, earning his second varsity letter.

PERSONAL:
• Attended Berkeley Preparatory School (Tampa, Fla.) and was coached by Dominick Ciao (2016-20). Harrell was a four-year starter on varsity and a team captain his senior year (2020). Playing defensive end, linebacker, running back, fullback and tight end in high school, he helped the Bucks reach the second round of the state Class 3A Playoffs as a senior.
• Ranked a four-star recruit, the 12th-rated wideside defensive end, the 52nd-best recruit in Florida and the 301st overall recruit in the nation by 247Sports composite. A ESPN300 member, he was rated as the No. 4 player at his position, the No. 27 prospect in Florida and the 172nd overall player nationally. Selected MaxPreps Sophomore and Junior All-American and a candidate for the 2019 High School Butkus Award.
• As a junior (2018), posted career-highs with 106 tackles, 20 tackles for loss and five sacks.
• Named the team's defensive MVP in both his junor and senior season.
