PRO: The Titans signed James Lynch to the team's practice squad prior to the start of the 2024 season to bring depth to the defensive line. The 6-foot-4-inch, 295-pounder originally entered the league as a fourth-round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2020. He played in 37 games with three starts during his first three seasons in Minnesota (2020-22), totaling 53 tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks. The Baylor product missed the entire 2023 campaign after suffering a season-ending during training camp.

• While participating in the 2020 NFL Combine, Lynch partnered with Uplifting Athletes to raise money for the rare disease community.
• Lynch's middle name, Husker, was given to him by his father Tim who played linebacker at Nebraska.

• The Round Rock, Texas, native was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round (130th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft.

COLLEGE:
• After a three-year career at Baylor, Lynch left as the school's all-time sack leader, racking up 23 sacks in 38 games. Lynch helped revitalize the program and culminated his career by being named Consensus All-American as a junior in 2019. He posted 101 tackles, 33.5 tackles for loss, seven passes defensed, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and three blocked kicks.
• As a junior (2019), started all 14 games at defensive end. Led the team with 13.5 sacks. Added 41 tackles, five passes defensed, three forced fumbles and 13 quarterback hurries. Also blocked three kicks and finished with 13.5 tackles for loss, good for third-most in school history for a single season. Earned Big 12 Defenisve Player of the Year honors and was named first team All-American.
• As a sophomore (2018), started started all 13 games and totaled 40 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two passes defensed and a team-leading 5.5 sacks. Was an All-Big 12 first team selection by the Associated Press and Tribue-Herald and an Academic All-BIg 12 second-team honoree.
• As a freshman (2017), played in 11 games as a defensive tackle and racked up 20 tackles, five tackles for loss, one fumble. Led all conference freshman with three sacks.
• Majored in pre-business at Baylor.
PERSONAL:
• Attended Round Rock (Texas) High School and was rated the nation's 31st-best defenisve tackle prospect in the 2017 recruiting class by 247Sports.com. Was also ranked the No. 50 recruit in the state of Texas.
• As a senior (2016), was named District 13-6A Defensive Lineman of the Year for the second straight year and led Round Rock to the D1 playoffs after an eight sack season.
• As a junior (2015), totaled 41 tackles and six sacks and earned District 13-6A Defensive Lineman of the Year honors. Also earned second-team All-Central Texas by AP.
• As a sophomore (2014), earned 2014 All-District 13-6A second-team honors.
• Son of Tim and Sherri Lynch. His brother, Dustin, played at Texas State.
