PLUGERVILLE, Texas -- Tennessee Titans linebacker Zaviar Gooden will be hosting his first-ever youth football camp this summer. The Quest for Greatness Youth Football Camp will take place in Gooden's hometown of Pflugerville, Texas and will provide an opportunity for local youth to learn football and life skills from NFL players in a fun environment.
This free camp will be held Saturday, June 27 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Pflugerville High School. The camp provides youth aged 14-18 with the chance to build self-esteem both on-and-off the field, while working to improve their football skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, lunch, and refreshments. They will also have the opportunity to meet Gooden and other NFL players onsite.
"I am really excited to get back out on my high school football field with the next generation of Pflugerville athletes," said Gooden. "My hometown community has always been very supportive and I am really looking forward to this opportunity to give something back to them."
Camp registration is now open, and is currently registering the first 100 youth ages 14-18. Parents can access the registration form and waiver via DropBox, in local-area schools, or by contacting Melanie Wadden (mwadden@ssgfootball.com).
