Whisenhunt, who is set to begin his second season as head coach of the Titans, discussed the team's 2015 offseason and how things are coming together during a busy month of OTA's leading up to training camp and the start of the season.
"Voice of the Titans" Mike Keith served as the emcee, interviewing Whisenhunt and Tennessee's top draft pick Marcus Mariota, who received a nice ovation from fans as he made his way to the stage.
"This is a Nashville tradition, and our part — having the Titans head coach here to talk about the upcoming season — is a tradition and it's a lot of fun," said Keith, who also fielded questions from fans in attendance. "You can look out in the audience and see people thinking, 'I wish we were playing football right now.' It's a great time to get everyone excited, and Coach Whisenhunt did an outstanding job again."
In addition to Mariota, most of the team's rookie class was on hand, interacting with Sports Council members, posing for photos and signing autographs.
"We are always excited to partner with the Nashville Sports Council and our friends at Comcast for this event," Titans Chief Revenue Officer Stuart Spears said. "Every year since the team moved to Nashville, this has been a chance for our organization to spend some time with Sports Council members and our fans.
"The Nashville Sports Council is such a critical piece of the sports scene for the city," Spears continued. "We are honored to be a part of this event with them."
