Jeff Fisher, Tennessee Titans
Fisher and the Tennessee Titans defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-14 to secure home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. The offense totaled 323 yards, with Kerry Collins completing 20 of 29 attempts for 219 yards and a touchdown. Rookie DE Jason Jones sacked Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger 3.5 times. The Titans converted four Pittsburgh turnovers into 21 points.
Tom Coughlin, New York Giants
Coughlin and the New York Giants defeated the Carolina Panthers 34-28 in overtime on Sunday Night Football to clinch NFC home-field advantage and a first-round bye in the playoffs. The Giants were propelled by the rushing attack of running backs Derrick Ward and Brandon Jacobs, who gained 302 of the Giants' 459 total offensive yards. QB Eli Manning completed 17 of 27 attempts for 181 yards and a touchdown. The Giants controlled the ball for over 39 minutes in the win.
Mike Holmgren, Seattle Seahawks
In his last game at Qwest Field as the Seattle Seahawks head coach, Holmgren crafted a game plan that led the Seahawks to a 13-3 victory over the New York Jets. Seahawks QB Seneca Wallace completed 18 of 25 attempts for 175 yards and a touchdown as the Seahawks gained 295 yards in the snow. Seahawks CB Josh Wilson intercepted Jets QB Brett Favre twice and sacked him once.
