After the regular season, five players will be nominated for GMC Sierra Defensive Player of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/gmc throughout the month of January.

Eric Barton, LB, New York Jets
Barton led the Jets' defensive effort with 17 tackles and a forced fumble in their 34–31 overtime victory against the New England Patriots on NFL Network Thursday night.
Chris Carr, DB, Tennessee Titans
Carr contributed four tackles, three defensed passes and an interception to the defensive effort as the Titans defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 24–14.
James Harrison, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Harrison forced a fumble that resulted in a safety and recorded an interception. He added four tackles and a sack in the Steelers' 11–10 win over the San Diego Chargers.
Julius Peppers, DE, Carolina Panthers
Peppers had five tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in the Panthers' 31–22 win over the Detroit Lions.
Aaron Ross, CB, New York Giants
Ross had two interceptions, including a 50-yard touchdown return, and six tackles in the Giants' 30–10 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
