Friday couldn't have been more relaxed. Wide receivers did drills normally done by defensive linemen and vice versa. Running backs hit the blocking sled like linebackers. Then, there was the annual competition between the offensive and defensive linemen in punt-catching drills, won by the offensive line, 4-0.
Then the fun turned into a race between rookies riding on inflatable chartreuse turtle floats across a slip-and-slide while veterans pounded them with water balloons.
Afterwards, Coach Jeff Fisher laid out the schedule for the next five weeks leading up to the start of training camp July 31.
"We have the rookie symposium and another week of the paid (offseason workout) program next week," Fisher said. "Then basically we have a couple of weeks where they are welcome to come in and be supervised in the weight room. Then we have two weeks leading up to camp where there is no supervision. They understand what is ahead."
The Titans hold their first training camp practice on Saturday July 31 at Baptist Sports Park. Stay tuned to Titans Online for a complete training camp preview and schedule in the coming days.
