NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Titans waived fourth-year tight end Taylor Thompson today.
A fifth-round draft pick in 2012, Thompson played in 35 games (eight starts) in three seasons in Tennessee, catching 11 career passes for 83 yards (7.5 avg.) and one touchdown. He also totaled 24 special teams tackles, including 11 his rookie season.
The 6-foot-6, 259-pound Thompson played in all 32 games (7 starts) his first two seasons, seeing most of his time on special teams, but injuries limited him to only three games (one start) in 2014. His lone touchdown came against the Jaguars in 2013.
