NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The votes are in, and Titans fans have chosen the official logo that will commemorate the franchise's 15th season as the Tennessee Titans.
Fans had four options developed by the NFL and overwhelmingly chose the version that features the Titans "sword" centered between the Roman numerals XV. The logo will appear in a patch on Titans game jerseys this season and merchandise that will also be available.
"We want to thank our fans for voting who were instrumental in selecting our official 15th season logo and look forward to integrating it throughout the season for Titans fans," said Ralph Ockenfels, the team's vice president of marketing. "We were happy to include fans in this important part of our team's history."
The Titans forged their current identity in 1999 when they moved into the downtown Nashville stadium that is now called LP Field and are 125-99 since for the seventh-best record in the NFL in that span.
