Position coach: Sylvester Croom

Returning: Chris Johnson, Darius Reynaud, (fullbacks) Quinn Johnson & Collin Mooney

First camp with Titans: Shonn Greene, Jalen Parmele, Alvester Alexander

Outlook: Questions on how Chris Johnson and free agent signee Shonn Greene would be used started before the ink on Greene's deal with the Titans dried. Johnson carried the ball 276 times for 1,243 yards for Tennessee in 2012, and Greene matched that number of carries for 1,063 yards with the New York Jets last season.

Johnson, who has an NFL-record six touchdown runs of at least 80 yards (double the next highest total), will remain at the top of the depth chart, but the use of each back may vary from series to series or week to week, depending on opponent and situation. Greene is expected to add a "smash" element to Johnson's "dash" similar to the 2008 season when Johnson rushed for 1,228 yards as a rookie on 251 attempts and caught 43 passes for another 260 yards while sharing time with LenDale White, who had 200 carries for 773 yards.

Johnson, Greene and other Titans running backs are excited about the re-vamping the Titans have done to the interior of the offensive line and the emphasis that receivers and tight ends are placing on blocking for run plays. They also said they liked what they saw during the offseason program when the team installed new elements of offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains' system, which will still make use of the fullback from time to time, as well as play action and find running backs out of the backfield on pass plays.

Things to watch at open training camp practices: Training camp practices allow fans to get closer to the action than almost anywhere, so they offer a chance to see Johnson's speed from a great vantage point; also, look for the different ways the running backs are going to be used on Loggains' system.
