Position coaches:Brett Maxie and assistant Steve Brown

First camp with Titans: Bernard Pollard, George Wilson, Blidi Wreh-Wilson, Khalid Wooten, George Baker, Daimion Stafford, Matthew Pierce
Outlook: The Titans are shifting their style at cornerback to a philosophy that incorporates more press man-to-man coverage that challenges receivers at the line of scrimmage. To do that, they wanted to get larger at the position and added draft picks Blidi Wreh-Wilson and Khalid Wooten. They have also taken a look at Tommie Campbell at one cornerback spot opposite Jason McCourty. Alterraun Verner remains a reliable player who also received some snaps at cornerback and some at safety during the offseason program.
Tennessee used free agency to add veterans Bernard Pollard and George Wilson at strong safety so that Michael Griffin can focus on free safety. Griffin and McCourty each recorded four of Tennessee's 19 interceptions. Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray and senior defensive assistant Gregg Williams have developed multiple packages, including one that will involve Griffin, Pollard and Wilson simultaneously.
Things to watch at open training camp practices: The secondary is an area that experienced multiple changes this offseason and some are still in the works as camp opens. Camp battles will occur as Titans coaches look to identify the best combination of players and match skill sets with situations. Pollard and Wilson have uniquely different styles, but each is poised to help Tennessee improve from 2012.
