NASHVILLE, Tenn. - May 11, 2009 - The Tennessee Titans will team up with the Nashville Zoo to host a unique day of "wild" fitness and activities for the entire family on Sunday, May 31 from 2-5 p.m. in the Zoo's Festival Field. The "Play 60" Day will include low impact activities, inflatable games and football drills geared toward children ages 3-14 as part of the Titans "Play 60" efforts to promote physical fitness and 60 minutes of active play per day.
Various Titans players will be on hand to encourage kids through a series of physical drills such as obstacle courses, relay races, field goal kicking challenges and much more. Also on hand will be the Nashville Zoo docent crew with animal related activity games and educational stations to illustrate how and why health and fitness are the keys to the survival of the fittest. In addition, there will be other activities and entertainment for the family, including the Titans cheerleaders, T-Rac, & Twiga the Giraffe.
The event is open to the public. Admission to the Zoo is $14 for adults, $9 for children (2-12) and $12 for seniors (65-plus). Admission is free for all Zoo members.
