Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt will take part in the race, which starts outside of LP Field and finishes inside the stadium at the 50-yard line. Titans players and cheerleaders will be on hand to cheer on participants throughout the 3.1-mile course.
"This is a great event for fans to celebrate with their team in a healthy way," said Stuart Spears, Titans Chief Revenue Officer. "The Titans 5K welcomes families and fans of all ages to enjoy a fun day of celebration, while also making the positive choice to live a healthy lifestyle."
Runners can register for the race by visiting www.titansonline.com/5k. The $45 ($40 for Titans Season Ticket Members) race entry fee includes a race T-shirt, a commemorative timing chip and a ticket to one of three home division games in 2015 vs. Indianapolis, Houston or Jacksonville.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Girls on the Run, a youth development program for girls in third through eighth grades that teaches life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games to achieve health and fitness.
The race loops runners through downtown Nashville and back inside LP Field, where they will be shown on the video boards and cross the finish line at midfield. Winners from each age group will receive commemorative footballs, in addition to awards for overall winners.
