• Photos: Velasco's Career
Velasco started all 16 games for the Titans last season – 13 at center and 3 at guard. For his career, Velasco has played in 49 games for the Titans, including 19 starts. He originally signed with Tennessee as an undrafted free agent from the University of Georgia in 2008.
As a restricted free agent, Velasco is able sign a contract with another team during the free agency period, but the Titans would have the right to match the contract offer. If the Titans decline to match the contract, they would be compensated with a 2013 second-round draft choice from the team that signs him. NFL teams are required to offer tenders to potential restricted and exclusive rights free agents by 3:00 p.m. (central) tomorrow.
The Titans did not offer tenders to two other players, Kevin Matthews and Kyle DeVan, who qualified in these categories.
