NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker will join 50 guests for a private dinner and a signing party to benefit Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Monday, Oct. 21 in Nashville.
Hosted by the Tavern Restaurant on Broadway, the signing begins at 6 p.m. with the dinner starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the private event are $25 for autographs and pictures; and $100 for dinner and must be purchased in advance. The proceeds raised by this event will benefit MADD Tennessee and increase awareness around the mission to eliminate drunk driving.
"Since arriving in Nashville, I've made it my mission to win on the football field and continue my work with MADD by speaking out against the dangers of drinking and driving," said Walker. "Events like this give me a chance to speak to our fans and tell my story. Mothers Against Drunk Driving saves lives and I am proud to be a supporter of their work here in Tennessee."
Delanie Walker lost his aunt and uncle in a car crash caused by a drunk driver in February 2013 following Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, a game he played in as a member of the San Francisco 49ers. Since then, he has been an outspoken advocate against drunk driving, speaking at the NFL Rookie Symposium and lobbying for the interlock-ignition law in Tennessee.
