NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans have signed veteran QB John Skelton and placed CB Tommie Campbell on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
Skelton (6-6, 250) is in his fourth NFL season and has started 17 games during his time with the Arizona Cardinals. For his NFL career, he has thrown for 3,707 yards and 15 touchdowns, while producing three 300-yard performances.
He entered the NFL as a fifth-round selection by Arizona in the 2010 NFL Draft from Fordham. As a rookie, he started four games for the Cardinals. In 2011, Skelton started seven games and threw 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions, while earning a 5-2 record in those starts. He started six games in his final season in Arizona last year.
In April of this year, he was waived by the Cardinals and claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals. He was waived by the Bengals following training camp and spent a week in October with the San Francisco 49ers.
Skelton started 41 games during his college career and finished as Fordham's all-time leader in passing yards (9,923) and touchdown passes (69).
