NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans have signed former Western Kentucky quarterback Tyler Ferguson to a futures contract.
Ferguson spent last offseason with the Titans after being signed as an undrafted free agent following the NFL Draft. Ferguson spent training camp, the preseason and the early portion of the 2017 regular season on the team's practice squad before being released.
Ferguson completed 4-of-11 passes for 34 yards in the 2017 preseason for the Titans.
Ferguson appeared in nine games at Western Kentucky, completing 19 of 41 passes for 234 yards and three touchdowns. He transferred to Western Kentucky from Louisville, where he redshirted the 2014 season and did not see action. He transferred to Louisville from Penn State where he played in five games of the 2013 season and completed 10 of 15 passes for 155 yards and one touchdown.
Reserve/future contracts allow NFL teams to sign existing free agents for the upcoming season. The contracts will officially take effect when the new league year begins in March.
