Titans Seek Fourth Straight Victory Sunday at Oakland

NASHVILLE — With four games remaining in the regular season and the Tennessee Titans (7-5) one game out of first place in the AFC South, they take a three-game winning streak on the road this week to face the Oakland Raiders (6-6). Kickoff at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum (capacity 55,997) is scheduled for 1:25 p.m. PST/3:25 p.m. CST on Sunday, Dec. 8.

This week marks the final scheduled appearance by the Titans in Oakland. The Raiders are set to begin playing games at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in 2020.

THE BROADCAST

This week's game will be regionally televised on CBS, including Nashville affiliate WTVF NewsChannel 5. The broadcast team includes play-by-play announcer Greg Gumbel, analyst Trent Green and sideline reporter Melanie Collins.

Within the two teams' local television markets, fans can livestream the game on their mobile devices from the Titans app (iOS devices) and the Yahoo! Sports app (iOS and Android devices). Restrictions apply. For more information visit TitansOnline.com.

The Titans Radio Network, including Nashville flagship 104.5 The Zone, will carry the game across the Mid-South with the "Voice of the Titans" Mike Keith, analyst Dave McGinnis, sideline reporter Amie Wells and gameday hosts Rhett Bryan and Jonathan Hutton.

TITANS STAY HOT, KEEP PACE IN DIVISION

The Titans were on the road last week, visiting the AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts. The two teams entered the game in a tie for second place in the division, one game behind the Houston Texans.

With the score tied 17-17 in the fourth quarter, Titans defensive back Dane Cruikshank registered the team's second blocked field goal of the game, and cornerback Tye Smith scooped up the ball and raced 63 yards for what proved to be the game-winning score. The Titans added a touchdown minutes later to win 31-17.

Running back Derrick Henry totaled 149 yards and one touchdown on 26 rushing attempts (5.7 avg.) against the Colts. With 496 rushing yards and five touchdowns over the past three games, he joined Jim Brown, Eric Dickerson, O.J. Simpson and Adrian Peterson as the only players in NFL history with at least 145 rushing yards and a touchdown in three consecutive contests.

Ryan Tannehill led the club to its fifth victory in six games since taking over as the starting quarterback. He passed for 182 yards and two touchdowns with a passer rating of 131.2, the second-highest single-game rating of his career (minimum 20 attempts). His 113.9 passer rating in 2019 ranks second in the NFL through Dec. 1, trailing only Minnesota's Kirk Cousins (114.8).

On defense, the Titans recorded their third game of the season with at least three sacks and two interceptions. Safety Kevin Byard and cornerback Logan Ryan each posted an interception and are tied for the team lead with four interceptions on the season.

The Titans need a win to at least keep pace in the AFC South. The 8-4 Texans defeated the New England Patriots last week and this week host the Denver Broncos. Then, in Week 15, the Texans and Titans clash in Nashville with a rematch set for Week 17 in Houston.

THE RAIDERS

The Raiders are two games out of first place in the AFC West after last week's 40-9 loss to the division-leading Kansas City Chiefs (8-4). Raiders running back Josh Jacobs notched the fifth 100-yard rushing game of his rookie season, but it was not enough to overcome three first-half turnovers and an efficient Chiefs offense.

Three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr has passed for 2,843 yards and 16 touchdowns with eight interceptions in his sixth NFL season. Against the Chiefs, he threw for 222 yards and a touchdown but was twice intercepted.

Jon Gruden returned to the Raiders as head coach in 2018 after a nine-season stint as an analyst on "Monday Night Football" (2009–2017). He originally coached the team from 1998–2001.

In their final season in Oakland, the Raiders are 4-1 at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, including a current three-game winning streak at the venue.
