NASHVILLE – The Titans released a pair of veterans on Thursday – outside linebacker Cameron Wake and running back Dion Lewis.
Wake, who ended the 2019 season on Injured Reserve, played in nine games for the Titans last season, and he finished with five tackles and 2.5 sacks.
In 11 NFL seasons, Wake has 353 tackles and 100.5 sacks. He spent his first 10 NFL seasons with the Dolphins before signing with the Titans this offseason.
Lewis, signed by the Titans prior to the 2018 season, produced 373 yards of total offense (209 rush, 164 receiving yards) in 2019, a year after producing 917 yards of offense (517 rush, 400 receiving) in 2018.
Lewis joined the Titans after playing previously with the Eagles, Browns, Colts and Patriots.
Also on Thursday, the Titans agreed to terms on a one-year contract with defensive back Chris Milton.
Milton tied for sixth on the team with five special teams tackles in 2019 while playing in six games.
The Titans initially claimed Milton off waivers from the Colts last September after he was waived by Indianapolis.
Milton (5-11, 190), signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2016, played in 35 games in three seasons in Indianapolis. He tallied 13 tackles over three seasons in Indianapolis, doing most of his work on special teams, where he had success on coverage teams.
Milton, who played collegiately at Georgia Tech, was waived by the Titans on Wednesday.
