NASHVILLE – The Titans on Monday promoted two players from the practice squad to the team's 53-man roster:
-RB/Returner Trenton Cannon.
-Linebacker Joe Jones.
Both Cannon and Jones played in Sunday's season opener vs the Giants as gameday elevations.
Cannon, signed earlier this offseason after playing previously with the Jets, Panthers, Ravens and 49ers, returned two kickoffs for 33 yards while playing 21 total snaps on special teams. He was credited with two assists.
Jones, who played in nine games with the Titans in 2021, played 23 snaps against the Giants on special teams and he was credited with an assist.
Meanwhile, the Titans have signed linebacker Jack Gibbens to the team's practice squad.
Gibbens, who played college at Minnesota, joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent earlier this offseason and he was waived during roster cuts last month.
