NASHVILLE – The Titans on Wednesday promoted defensive lineman Naquan Jones from the practice squad to the active roster.
The move comes one day after the team waived defensive lineman Anthony Rush.
Also on Wednesday, the Titans signed defensive lineman Andrew Brown to the team's practice squad.
Jones, signed by the team as an undrafted free agent after the NFL Draft, went through training camp and preseason with the team.
A four-year letterman at Michigan State, Jones was credited with 78 tackles, including 12.5 for losses (44 yards) and 3.0 sacks (20 yards), with three pass break-ups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery, in 46 career games with the Spartans, making five career starts (one in 2019, four in 2020).
Brown, who played at Virginia, has spent time with the Bengals (2018-2020), Texans (2020) and Colts (2021) in his NFL career. Brown played in 14 games with the Bengals in 2019, and in seven games with the Texans in 2020. He has 16 career tackles, and one sack.
