NASHVILLE – The Titans on Friday made a pair of roster moves:
-Defensive back Chris Jackson was promoted from the practice squad to the team's 53-man roster.
-OLB/DE Takkarist (Takk) McKinley was signed to the team's practice squad.
Jackson has played in 23 games for the Titans over the past two seasons, including six starts. He's been credited with 54 tackles in those contests, with five passes defensed. Jackson was a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Marshall.
McKinley, meanwhile, was a first-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons in the 2017 NFL Draft.
McKinley (6-2, 260) played from 2017-2020 with the Falcons before spending time with the Raiders and Browns. In his NFL career, McKinley has played in 60 career games, with 27 starts, and has been credited with 97 tackles, 20 sacks, 25 tackles for a loss and three forced fumbles.
McKinley played in 11 games for the Browns in 2021, when he tallied 18 tackles and 2.5 sacks. McKinley suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in the Week 15 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
McKinley was on the practice field on Friday for the Titans.
