NASHVILLE – Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research recently held its 4th Annual Crew Aviation | Rally On the Runway, a New York-style fashion show, at the new Tri-Brand Marriott in downtown Nashville.
The event featured Rally Kids -- children who are fighting or have fought cancer -- as models. These Rally Kids were escorted by Tennessee Titans football players, led by Pro Bowl defensive tackle and honorary chair Jurrell Casey.
The evening included gourmet dining, silent and live auctions, and a welcome address from honorary chairs Ryann and Jurrell Casey, as well as an emotional and inspiring message from Rally Kid Alexis.
Hope Hines, former WTVF Sports Director, was emcee for the event. Professional models and Rally Kids wore the latest spring fashions provided by Dillard's Green Hills.
Along with Casey, Tennessee Titans players participating included Beau Brinkley, Kevin Byard, David Fluellen, Adoree' Jackson, Austin Johnson, Ben Jones, DaQuan Jones, Taylor Lewan, Marcus Mariota, Tajae Sharpe, Ryan Succop, and former Titan Karl Klug.
The evening raised more than $275,000 for childhood cancer research, an amount that will potentially fund more than five research grants. Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research was founded in 2005 in Atlanta, and since then has awarded more than $16.7 million in childhood cancer research grants to more than 300 projects worldwide.
