NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Being an NFL player holds great significance and affords players the opportunity to do great things in their communities. Players regularly give back with holiday functions, hospital visits and school appearances to name a few. But summertime is when players from across the NFL get the opportunity to get back to the basics of what helped them reach their goals of becoming NFL players: youth football camps.
Various current and former Titans players host youth football camps both in their hometowns and in the surrounding Nashville area, dually making an impact. The children that participate in the camps get real football instruction, basic fundamentals in addition to motivation and words of encouragement by the players; entities that are beneficial both on and off the field.
The NFL plays its part by encouraging players to participate in youth football and even supplement costs by providing grants that allow players to hold the camps.
"Growing up, I just remember going to camps and the impact it had on me as a football player," said Titans offensive lineman Leroy Harris. "It was so inspiring to me. That's what I hope to give kids that I get a chance to interact with during my camp this year...inspiration. Inspiration to let them know that whatever they want to do in life, it is indeed possible."
This summer, several Titans will be hosting their youth football camps here in Nashville and across the country. See the information below for specific Titans player's camps and how to participate.
