NASHVILLE – The Titans plan to sign receiver Cody Hollister to the team's active roster, General Manager Jon Robinson said on Wednesday.
Hollister will replace receiver Racey McMath, who is headed to Injured Reserve.
Hollister initially joined the Titans in 2019, and he has spent time on the team's active roster and practice squad over each of the past three seasons. He was with the Titans throughout the offseason before being waived on Tuesday.
"I think Cody's toughness level," Robinson said when asked about Hollister's strengths. "He is an extremely dependable guy. He is a smart player, and he can play a multiple spots at the receiver position on a moment's notice, without a lot of reps throughout the course of the week of practice.
"He has been a competitive guy on special teams, and he has been productive on special teams for us. And when you're not the 1, 2, 3, 4 receiver you are going to have to do something in the kicking game realistically. And he has done a great blocking. So, all the things for that position – get open, catch, block, dependability, intelligence, versatility. He embodied a lot of those characteristics."
Hollister will join Robert Woods, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Treylon Burks and Kyle Philips on the active roster. Earlier today the team signed receivers Dez Fitzpatrick, Mason Kinsey and Reggie Roberson to the practice squad.
