Titans-Patriots Game Notes

SNOW AT KICKOFF: The game began with snow falling on the Gillette Stadium turf. Officially, the temperature was 39 degrees. The snowfall was the first significant snow accumulation during a Titans game since a Dec. 17, 2000 contest at Cleveland.

JONES' SACKS: Early in the first quarter, defensive tackle Jason Jones sacked Tom Brady for a six-yard loss on third down. The sack, Jones' second of the season and seventh of his career, pushed the Patriots back, and kicker Stephen Gostkowski subsequently missed a 40-yard field goal attempt. Later in the first quarter, Jones recorded his second sack of the game, also on third down.

JOHNSON'S 40-YARD RUNS: In the second quarter, Titans running back Chris Johnson sprinted for a 40-yard rushing attempt. In the third quarter, he raced 48 yards on a rushing attempt. Those carries were his sixth and seventh career rushing attempts of 40 yards or more and third and fourth of 2009.

YOUNG ENTERS GAME IN THIRD QUARTER: For the second consecutive game, Vince Young entered the game at quarterback in relief of Kerry Collins. Young entered the contest late in the third quarter.
