NASHVILLE – The NFL awarded compensatory draft selections in the 2022 NFL Draft on Tuesday, and the Titans received two additional picks as a result of the formula.
Under the rules for compensatory draft selections, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents ("CFA") than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks.
The Titans were awarded an additional fourth-round pick (143rd overall) and an additional sixth-round pick (219th overall) as a result of these transactions last offseason:
Lost: Jadeveon Clowney, Corey Davis, DaQuan Jones, Desmond King, Jonnu Smith.
Gained: Denico Autry, Bud Dupree, Kendall Lamm.
The Titans are now scheduled to make seven picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Here's a look at the team's seven picks:
First round: 26th overall.
Third round: 90th overall.
Fourth round: 131st overall.
Fourth round: 143rd overall
Fifth round: 169th overall
Sixth round: 204th overall
Sixth round: 219th overall
(The Titans don't have a second-round pick as a result of last year's trade for receiver Julio Jones and the team doesn't have a seventh-round pick in 2022 because it was included in the trade that sent tackle Isaiah Wilson to the Dolphins. The Titans got Miami's seventh-round pick in the 2021 draft).
