Titans Kickoff Luncheon Scheduled for Sept. 1

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher will be the featured speaker and introduce the 2009 rookie class during the 12th Annual Comcast Spotlight Titans Kickoff Luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville.

"The Annual Comcast Spotlight Titans Kickoff Luncheon always signals the start of the Titans regular season in Middle Tennessee," said Lisa Dean, General Manager of Comcast Spotlight Nashville.  "This marks the 12th Anniversary of this event and we are thrilled about the opportunity to hear from Coach Fisher as he previews the upcoming year and introduces the players who will be in attendance."

The Reese Smith Award, which is awarded annually to a Middle Tennessee individual who makes a difference in sports, will also be presented.  The 2008 recipient of the award was the late Edgar Allen.  Past recipients include James "Doc" Shelton, Reggie Whittemore, Charles Hawkins, Teresa Phillips, June Stewart, Rick Byrd, and James "Boots" Donnelly.

Guests (Non-Nashville Sports Council Members) can attend for $45, which includes admission and lunch.  Tickets are payable at the door.  To RSVP for the luncheon, please contact the Nashville Sports Council at 615.743.3131.
