NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Titans on Monday interviewed Chris Ballard for the team's general manager position.
Among the group Ballard met with today included Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk and Kenneth Adams IV from the ownership group, and President Steve Underwood.
Last week, the Titans interviewed Jaguars director of player personnel Chris Polian, Buccaneers director of player personnel Jon Robinson, Giants vice president of player evaluation Marc Ross, former Broncos general manager Ted Sundquist, and Martin Mayhew, who most recently served as executive vice president of football operations and general manager of the Detroit Lions.
Ballard, the Chiefs' director of football operations, has been with Kansas City for three seasons. He oversees the team's college and pro scouting departments.
Prior to joining the Chiefs in 2013, Ballard served 12 seasons with the Chicago Bears personnel department, first as Southwest Area Scout (2001-11) and then as Director of Pro Scouting (2012). Prior to his time with the Bears, Ballard spent seven seasons as a coach at Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Ballard played four years of college football at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Last week, the franchise opted not to renew the contract of Ruston Webster.
