NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- As part of their ongoing commitment to supporting youth football, the Tennessee Titans recognized ten high school football coaches from across the state as their 2018 Coach of the Week and Coach of the Year award winners on Sunday.

2018 Tennessee Titans Coach of the Year

The coaches were honored with a pregame dinner and recognition ceremony on Sunday. General Manager Jon Robinson addressed and congratulated the group on behalf of the organization, and Titans Football Outreach Coordinator Josh Corey presented each coach with his award.

Each Coach of the Week represented the school that won their Tennessee Titans Game of the Week matchup. The Game of the Week initiative was implemented in 2015 to bring schools and communities together by inviting fans to select the Game of the Week via online voting. In four seasons, approximately 3.3 million votes have been cast via TitansOnline.com.

In his fourth season as the head coach at Oakland, Creasy led his team to a 14-1 record and the Class 6A state championship. The Patriots outscored their opponents 637-88, including a 37-0 win over Whitehaven in the Class 6A Blue Cross Bowl. The 2018 title was Creasy's fourth career state championship but his first at Oakland High School. He won three at Trousdale County (2008, 2009, 2013).

"It is a huge honor to be named as the Tennessee Titans Coach of the Year. Oakland is a special place with great players and tremendous support from administrators, teachers, parents and fans. Oakland has also benefited from the Titans' commitment to the football communities of Tennessee. The Titans organization continues to provide professional development through their annual coaching clinic and college exposure for our student-athletes through their partnership with the TFCA and their recruiting fair, as well as a top-notch 7-on-7 tournament. We are very fortunate to have the Titans help grow this great game and our young men that love to play football."

All ten coaches recognized on Sunday led their teams to the state playoffs in 2018, with two (Boldin and Creasy) winning the state championship in their respective classes. Collectively, the coaches had a record of 121-14 in 2018.

Each Coach of the Week received a grant in the amount of $1,000 to further develop and enhance his football program. As Coach of the Year, Creasy received an additional grant in the amount of $2,000. Further, Creasy will receive an all-expense paid trip to the 2019 Pro Bowl in Orlando, Florida, and will be considered for the Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year award. The winner of this national award, to be announced later this month, receives $10,000 and an additional $15,000 for his high school football program.

To date, the Titans have donated more than $220,000 to deserving high school programs across the state through the Coach of the Week program.
