NASHVILLE -- The Titans Foundation donated $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity for their 2019 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project to be held in Nashville October 6-11.
This build will be the centerpiece event for the organization's Huddle for Affordable Housing, which is part of the NFL's Huddle for 100 project. To celebrate the NFL's 100th season, the NFL is encouraging fans to donate 100 minutes of community service. With that goal in mind, the Titans are encouraging fans to join this build or donate their time to builds in other communities – more information about volunteer opportunities will be forthcoming. Titans staff, alumni and current players will be involved during the October build.
"With the growth of Nashville, it is important for those in this city to address the need for affordable housing," said Amy Adams Strunk, Titans Controlling Owner. "This is one of many efforts to meet that need head on. I am proud that our organization will be part of the solution."
The Titans Foundation is one of many organizations who have donated to this cause and builds upon the $1 million challenge grant from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency.

The 2019 Carter Work Project marks the 36th year former President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter will build homes with Habitat for Humanity. The Carters will help construct 20 new homes during the week in the north Nashville community of Park Preserve, a 42-acre Habitat-developed neighborhood that will serve 175 families when complete. In total, funding for the Nashville Carter Work Project will help 58 families and provide funding for Habitat Nashville's first townhome project, Sherwood Commons, slated for construction in 2020
