NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Titans have used their final pick of the draft on safety Markelle Martin of Oklahoma State at No. 190 in the sixth round.
Martin was second-team All-American as a senior when he started 13 games at strong safety and had a career-high 74 tackles with five for losses. The 6-foot, 207-pound Martin has three career interceptions and 36 career pass breakups.
The Titans needed a safety after choosing not to sign veteran Chris Hope. They have tagged Michael Griffin as their franchise player and signed Jordan Babineaux at the start of free agency.
Martin could be the Titans' final draft pick, unless Tennessee trades back into the seventh round.
