TITANS BREAK LOSING STREAK IN MIAMI: The Titans' 37-3 victory over the Dolphins gave them their first victory at Miami since 2004. The Titans had won only one time in their previous six trips to Sun Life Stadium, including losses in the most recent three games at the venue.
POINT DIFFERENTIAL: The Titans' 34-point win marked their largest margin of victory since they won 47-7 against the St. Louis Rams on Dec. 13, 2009. The 34-point victory was their largest on the road since a 47-10 final score at Detroit on Nov. 27, 2008.
TITANS DON'T ALLOW A TOUCHDOWN: The Dolphins managed only a 40-yard field goal against the Titans. The last time the Titans did not give up a touchdown in a game was in a 30-3 win at Carolina on Nov. 13, 2011.
OPPONENT'S THIRD-DOWN PERCENT LOWEST SINCE 2008: The Titans defense limited the Miami offense to two conversions on 13 third-down attempts. The 15.4 percent conversion rate was the defense's best since Nov. 27, 2008, when they did not allow a conversion on 11 third-down attempts by the Detroit Lions.
TIME OF POSSESSION VICTORY: The Titans won the time-of-possession battle 33:13 to 26:47. They had their largest time of possession since holding the ball for 33:23 against Tampa Bay on Nov. 27, 2011. The Dolphins game was the Titans' second time in 2012 to win time of possession (Oct. 11 against Pittsburgh).
TITANS PLUS-FOUR IN TAKEAWAYS FOR FIRST TIME IN TWO YEARS: The Titans forced four total turnovers by the Dolphins—three interceptions and one fumble—without committing a turnover themselves. The last time the Titans were plus-four or better in turnovers was Oct. 18, 2010 at Jacksonville.

LOCKER BACK IN STARTING LINEUP: After missing the last five games with a left shoulder injury, second-year quarterback Jake Locker was back in the starting lineup for the Titans. Locker initially injured the shoulder in the season opener against New England (Sept. 9), re-injured it on Sept. 30 at Houston and had not played since then.
LOCKER EFFICIENT IN WIN: In his second career win as a starter, Jake Locker only completed nine passes on 21 attempts, but his 122 passing yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions gave him a passer rating of 93.8. It was the second-best passer rating in his five career starts.
LOCKER'S RUSHING FIRST DOWNS KEY: Quarterback Jake Locker tied his career high with 36 rushing yards on four attempts against the Dolphins. Three of his runs resulted in first downs, including one on third-and-one (four yards) and one on fourth-and-two (five yards). Additionally, three of his four carries, including a 20-yarder, occurred during scoring drives.
MULTIPLE TOUCHDOWNS FOR LOCKER: Jake Locker's nine-yard touchdown pass to Kendall Wright and 26-yard touchdown toss to Jared Cook gave him his third career game with two touchdown passes. He previously accomplished the feat on Nov. 20, 2011 at Atlanta and on Sept. 23, 2012 against Detroit. Locker now has 10 career touchdown passes, including six in 2012.
JOHNSON'S FOURTH 100-YARD GAME OF THE SEASON: Chris Johnson carried the ball 23 times for 126 yards (5.5 avg.) and one touchdown. He reached the 100-yard rushing mark while still in the third quarter. It marked the 32nd 100-yard rushing game of his five-year career and his fourth of 2012. All four of those efforts have come in the last seven weeks.
JOHNSON FIRST TO GET 100 YARDS AGAINST DOLPHINS IN 23 GAMES: Chris Johnson became the first player to rush for 100 or more yards against the Dolphins defense in 23 contests. The Dolphins entered the contest ranked third in the NFL in 2012 against the run.
CHRIS JOHNSON SCORES FOURTH TOUCHDOWN OF 2012: In the first quarter, Chris Johnson started to the right, changed direction, and then scored on a 17-yard run. It was Johnson's fourth rushing touchdown of 2012 and his 42nd career rushing touchdown.
JOHNSON HITS 8,000 SCRIMMAGE YARDS: In the second quarter, Chris Johnson recorded an eight-yard reception. The catch put him over 8,000 career scrimmage yards, as he joined Eddie George, Earl Campbell and Ernest Givins as the only players in franchise history to reach the mark.
WILLIAMS REACHES 1,000: Damian Williams' 15-yard reception in the first quarter put him over the 1,000-yard receiving mark for his career.
WRIGHT NOW FIFTH IN TEAM HISTORY IN ROOKIE RECEIVING: Rookie wide receiver Kendall Wright caught one pass against the Dolphins—a nine-yard touchdown grab. It gave the first-round pick 43 receptions this season, tied with Chris Johnson's 2008 output for the fifth-highest reception total in franchise history among rookies.
LOCKER-TO-WRIGHT TOUCHDOWN: In the first quarter, Jake Locker completed a nine-yard touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Kendall Wright. It was Wright's fourth career touchdown reception and marked the second time this season the young quarterback-receiver duo connected for a score.
COOK NOTCHES CAREER TOUCHDOWN NUMBER SEVEN: In the third quarter, tight end Jared Cook scored his seventh career touchdown and his third touchdown of 2012 on a 26-yard pass from Jake Locker.
McCOURTY FORCES AND RECOVERS FUMBLE: In the first quarter, cornerback Jason McCourty stripped the ball from running back Reggie Bush and also recovered the fumble. McCourty notched his third career forced fumble (first of 2012) and his second career fumble recovery (first of 2012).
EACH STARTING LINEBACKER RECORDS AN INTERCEPTION: The Titans received three interceptions by their starting linebackers—one each by second-year middle linebacker Colin McCarthy, second-year strongside linebacker Akeem Ayers and rookie weakside linebacker Zach Brown.
PICK-SIX BY McCARTHY: In the second quarter, linebacker Colin McCarthy intercepted a Ryan Tannehill pass that was initially tipped by fellow linebacker Akeem Ayers. McCarthy, who recorded his second career interception (first of 2012), caught the ball and raced 49 yards for his first career touchdown. It was the team's first interception for a touchdown since Jordan Babineaux's 97-yarder at Cleveland on Oct. 2, 2011.
BROWN NOTCHES FIRST INTERCEPTION: In the fourth quarter, rookie linebacker Zach Brown recorded his first career interception, stepping in front of a Ryan Tannehill pass. Brown returned the ball 47 yards to help set up a Titans field goal.
AYERS INTERCEPTION: Late in the second quarter, second-year linebacker Akeem Ayers notched his first career interception on a pass from Ryan Tannehill that was intended for Anthony Fasano. The takeaway led to a Titans field goal.
MARKS SACK: In the third quarter, defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks dropped Ryan Tannehill for an eight-yard loss. Marks was credited with his first sack of 2012, which gave him 2.5 in his four-year career.
KERN'S NET AVERAGE FIFTH IN TEAM ANNALS: Brett Kern averaged 52.0 yards on four punts with three placed inside the opponent's 20-yard line. His net average of 48.0 yards against the Dolphins ranks fifth all-time for the team (since 1976 with a minimum of four punts), and it was also the second-best net average of his career (48.6 agaisnt San Diego on Sept. 16.
KERN RECORDS CAREER LONG: In the first quarter, Brett Kern recorded a 71-yard punt to set a new career long. His previous career long was 68 yards, set against Philadelphia on Oct. 24, 2010.
BIRONAS MAKES THREE: Rob Bironas made all three field goal attempts and all four extra point attempts against the Dolphins. It marked the 29th time in his career he made three or more field goals in a game.
BIRONAS SETS A RECORD: In the first quarter, Rob Bironas' 230th consecutive successful PAT gave him a franchise record for the most consecutive extra points made. He moved past Al Del Greco, who held the record with 229 consecutive PATs.
