NASHVILLE – The Titans on Wednesday were awarded two players off waivers.
The Titans put claims in and were awarded:
-Defensive end Ali Gaye, formerly of the Texans.
-Defensive back Julius Wood, formerly of the Cowboys.
Also on Wednesday, the Titans waived tight end Nick Vannett and edge rusher Rashad Weaver.
Gaye, who played in college at LSU, initially joined the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He spent the season on the team's practice squad.
Gaye was credited with three tackles, including one on special teams, in the preseason this year.
Wood, who played in college at East Carolina, was signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft and spent the offseason with the team.
Wood tallied nine tackles and two interceptions, and he also forced a fumble and had a tackle for loss in the preseason.
Also on Wednesday, the Packers claimed former Titans kicker Brayden Narveson off waivers, while the Chargers claimed former Titans running back Hassan Haskins.
