NASHVILLE – The Titans have claimed defensive lineman Freedom Akinmoladun off waivers.
Akinmoladun (6-3, 286) was waived by the Bengals over the weekend.
Akinmoladun joined the Bengals in November of 2019, and he's spent the majority of his time on Cincinnati's practice squad. Akinmoladum played in four games while with the Bengals, including two in 2020 as standard elevation from practice squad. He played in 24 snaps on defense in 2020.
Akinmoladun originally signed with the N.Y. Giants as an undrafted free agent in May of 2019. He spent the first part of that season on Giants' practice squad before later joining Bengals' practice squad.
While at Nebraska, Akinmoladun played in 48 games (41 starts), and he totaled 106 tackles, including 17 for losses and 12 sacks.
