NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Our next Cheer Spotlight shines on Titans Cheerleader Zephanie. Zephanie is a 2nd year veteran who has been dancing since she was 4 years old. An extremely talented dancer, Zephanie was one of just two individuals from Tennessee to be selected to participate in the summer intensive at the highly regarded Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York City.
Originally, from Knoxville, Tennessee, Zephanie recently graduated from Middle Tennessee State University and now works for the Tennessee Board of Education. Read below to learn more about one of the most talented dancers in the state of Tennessee!
What is your nickname?
My friends all call me Peanut because they think it's funny how allergic I am to them. My family will call me ZooZoo and Sissy. Now that I am thinking about it, I actually have no idea where those came from!
Do you have any pets?
Yes, Coco aka Fluff is my 9 year old Pomeranian.
How did you start dancing?
I started dancing at 4 years old. My grandfather told my mother I was too lazy and needed an activity to do after school, and I quickly fell in love!
Who do you look up to as a personal hero?
Misty Copeland. She was the first African American Female Principal Dancer with the American Ballet Theatre, the first ballerina to be sponsored by Under Armor, the National Youth of the Year Ambassador for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and one of Glamour's Women of the Year in 2015. She is unstoppable.
If you played football, what position would you play?
Kicker because I would have the fate of the whole team in my hands. No pressure!
What is your favorite quote?

What is your favorite place in Nashville?
I would say Love Circle is my favorite spot.
Do you have any strange phobias?
I have an extreme fear of clowns, coulrophobia. I also have agoraphobia which is basically the fear of having no escape in tight or crowded places.
Why do you cheer?
I cheer because I love seeing the energy and excitement that it brings to each and every fan at our home games. That feeling is something you can never top.
