Titans Cheerleader Spotlight: Mari

Our next Cheer Spotlight shines on Titans Cheerleader Mari, a second-year veteran who is one of our two international Titans Cheerleaders. Originally from Nagoya, Japan, Mari trained for 10 years before moving to Nashville in 2016 to audition for the squad. Read below to learn more about TTC Mari!

What is your favorite memory as a Titans Cheerleader?

I always love game day! Putting on our Titans cheerleading uniform makes me feel like a superhero. I love that my friends and family were able to come to Nissan Stadium for a football game last year. They got to see how happy I am in Nashville and how proud I am of all that I have accomplished since moving here two years ago.

What is your favorite spot in Nashville?

John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge

What is your favorite quote?

"No rain, no rainbow."

Do you have any strange phobias?

I really don't like riding in airplanes, but I travel home to Japan as often as I can- it's worth the stress!

What is your favorite way to break a sweat?

_Running! It allows me to work out while exploring our amazing city! _

What is your favorite food?

_It's a three-way tie between rice, french fries and ramen. _

If you played football, what position would you play?

Wide receiver! I'm fast and have great hand-eye coordination.

What have you gained from this opportunity within the NFL?

Since becoming a Titans Cheerleader all of my teammates quickly became my family. It is a treasure in my life to have met them!
