NASHVILLE, Tenn. – **Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Chance Warmack and defensive lineman Karl Klug headlined the Academy Sports + Outdoor Titans Caravan as it wrapped up its 2015 tour with several stops throughout east Tennessee.
The Caravan stopped Friday in the communities of Mount Juliet and Cookeville before heading to Johnson City, Knoxville and Hixson on Saturday.
Friday's first stop was a public autograph signing at the Mount Juliet Kroger. From there, the Caravan headed to the Cane Creek Sportsplex in Cookeville.
Saturday consisted of three public autograph signings at Academy Sports + Outdoors locations in Johnson City, Knoxville and Hixson.
Warmack was drafted out of the University of Alabama with the 10th overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft. He started every game from 2013-14 at right guard, becoming the fourth rookie in the "Titans era" (1999–present) to start all 32 games for the team in his first two NFL seasons, along with Jevon Kearse, Tank Williams and Michael Roos.
Klug (pronounced KLOOG) has never missed a game in his four-year career. In 2014, he appeared in all 16 contests for the fourth consecutive year and posted 31 tackles, two sacks, five quarterback pressures and five tackles for loss. The former fifth-round pick from Iowa was rewarded with a new multi-year contract early in the 2015 offseason.
Academy Sports + Outdoors Titans Caravan public stops are free events that allow fans to meet players, T-Rac and cheerleaders. Posters are provided at no cost to all Caravan attendees for autographs, and photos are encouraged. Public stops generally last one hour.
Titans Caravan began in 1998 as a small effort to spread goodwill through the region. Today, nine full-time staffers travel with Titans players and T-Rac through the Mid-South on a specially-decorated motor coach. Since 1998, the Caravan has made over 800 stops and allowed the team to interact directly with an estimated audience well in excess of 200,000 fans.
