HEAD COACH MIKE MUNCHAK
(on the offense in the first half)
We just hurt ourselves. We moved the ball well at times and ran the ball well. But when it came time to finish the drive, we had two penalties, a drop, a ball thrown that should have gone for a first down on third-and-three, but instead we went for the home run. We just weren't finishing. We were moving it well, but we only had three points to show for it.
(on the defense in the first half)
We started off good with a turnover. We were hoping to get some points on the board, but we didn't do that. It seemed like the defense never got into a rhythm after that, and we struggled. We couldn't get stops, and we couldn't make plays. We know that they're a good football team, and we saw that tonight.
QB JAKE LOCKER
(on the offense's performance)
I thought we did a good job moving the ball, but we just need to find ways to score touchdowns instead of settle for field goals. We shot ourselves in the foot a little bit at times and stopped ourselves on some drives. But overall I thought we moved the ball and were effective between the 20s.
(on the running game)
We really got the running game going in the second quarter and continued it in the second half. That was good to see. I think we took one drive, especially, and really made it an emphasis to run it and were able to do it when we wanted to. That was good to see.
DT JURRELL CASEY
(on the defense's performance)
We had a lot of things that we have to work on, a lot of guys made a lot of mistakes out there up front and on the back end, all across the board. We have to come out and be more dominant up front and take pressure off the linebackers and DBs.
(on his sack, forced fumble and fumble recovery)
We had a pressure on. We had a nice pass rush, and I beat the guy one-on-one. I saw (Andy) Dalton getting ready to throw the pass, and I just put my hand on the ball and pulled it down. Next thing I know, I have the ball and I'm trying to run in the end zone.
