Fans are being asked to bring coats to the game and drop them off in the specially-marked collection sites located near each of the stadium entrances with collections starting at 10 a.m. through kickoff.
The coats will be collected by volunteers from the Liv2Giv Foundation, a teen-led organization, in which students identify at-risk populations, research how to best serve them and ultimately work together to make a difference in the lives of others. At the end of the day, students are keenly aware of who their neighbors are and how they can love them as Christ commands.
The Titans will then sort and distribute the coats to area non-profit agencies that serve those in need in Middle Tennessee. Last season's coat drive collected more than 2,000 new and used coats that were donated to various local charities that included Bethlehem Center of Nashville, Campus for Human Development, Catholic Charities, East Nashville Cooperative Ministry, Magness Potter, Martha O'Bryan Center, Nashville Rescue Mission, YWCA, and the Salvation Army.
"Our fans continue to be incredibly supportive of our various game-day drives and we know that this week's coat drive will be no exception," said Don MacLachlan, Titans EVP of Administration and Facilities. "Our fans donate several thousand coats each year and without question help many of our less-fortunate neighbors remain warm throughout the winter months."
The Tennessee Titans are proud to recognize the best fans in the NFL that continue to support our efforts both on and off the field and will continue to host stadium drives through the rest of the season that include the Food Drive (Nov. 21st vs. Redskins); U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots (December 5th vs. Jaguars) and the Soles4Souls Shoe Drive (December 19th vs. Texans).
