NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms today with DT Tony Brown on a multi-year contract.
Entering his sixth season, Brown has become one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL with 52 career starts and 15.5 sacks during his NFL career. Last year, he earned Pro Bowl alternate honors while totaling 61 tackles, a team-high 25 quarterback pressures, three forced fumbles and a career high five sacks in 15 starts. Over the last two years, Brown ranks seventh among NFL defensive tackles with nine sacks.
Brown originally joined the Titans during the 2006 season after spending time with Carolina, Miami and San Francisco. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent by the Panthers in 2003 after playing for Memphis in college.
