NASHVILLE, TN, July 15, 2008 —The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms on multi-year contracts today with two members of their seven-player 2008 draft class, wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins and linebacker Stanford Keglar.

Hawkins, who was drafted in the fourth round with the 126th overall selection, played in 35 games in three seasons at the University of California. He finished his career ranked 10th in school history with 136 career receptions for 1,748 yards and 12 touchdowns. Additionally, Hawkins totaled 49 kickoff returns for 1,051 yards and one touchdown. As a senior, his 72 receptions led the Golden Bears and ranked fourth on the school's single-season record list. The second-team All-Pac 10 performer also set career highs as a senior with 872 receiving yards and six touchdown receptions, and his 42 kickoff returns and 922 kickoff return yards broke program records. As a freshman, the Stockton, Calif., product originally committed to Louisiana State University before transferring to City College of San Francisco, where in one season he posted 23 receptions for 525 yards and four touchdowns. He then transferred to Cal for his final three seasons of eligibility.
Linebacker Stanford Keglar

Keglar, the Titans' third fourth round selection (134th overall), started 41 of 50 games he played in at Purdue University, recording 250 tackles (153 solo), including 1.5 sacks and 13 stops for loss. He registered two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, three interceptions and 12 passes defensed during his four-year career with the Boilermakers. Keglar closed out his collegiate career starting all 13 games as a senior and collecting 70 tackles (39 solo), four stops for losses and three passes defensed. As a junior in 2006, the Indianapolis, Ind., native notched 69 tackles (46 solo) with two stops behind the line of scrimmage, an interception and five passes defensed while starting 10 of 14 contests.
Hawkins and Keglar are the first two of the Titans seven draft choices to agree to terms. The Titans open training camp on July 25th.
