NASHVILLE – The Titans have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with defensive lineman Teair Tart.
Tart, signed as an undrafted free agent in 2020, was scheduled to become an exclusive rights free agent next week.
A 6-foot-2, 304-pounder, Tart played in 11 games for the Titans in 2021, when he made 10 starts.
Tart was credited with 16 tackles and three quarterback pressures in 2021, along with two tackles for a loss.
In his first two NFL seasons, Tart has played in 18 games, with 11 starts, and he's been credited with 21 tackles, five quarterback pressures and three tackles for a loss.
Tart played collegiately at Florida International, where he appeared in 23 games, with 10 starts, and tallied 51 tackles, 19 tackles for a loss, six sacks, one pass defensed, five quarterback pressures and two forced fumbles.
