NASHVILLE – The Titans have agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension with receiver Cameron Batson.
Batson was slated to be an exclusive rights free agent in March. He's now officially under contract for 2020.
Batson spent the 2019 season on Injured Reserve after being injured during a training camp practice in late July. The injury came on the heels of a successful offseason for Batson, who was named one of the team's top offseason performers by head coach Mike Vrabel.
Batson played in 11 games, with two starts, for the Titans in 2018 and had eight catches for 82 yards. He was expected to contend for a spot on the 53-man roster last fall.
Batson initially joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech following the 2018 NFL Draft.
The 5-foot-8-inch, 180-pound Batson has experience in the return game, having returned both kickoffs and punts during his collegiate career. In four seasons at Texas Tech, Batson collected 157 receptions for 1,499 yards and 14 touchdowns, while returning 22 kickoffs for 417 yards and 65 punts for 394 yards.
Last week, the Titans also signed tight end Anthony Firkser to a one-year deal.
